EVOO container loading: pallets per 20 ft, 40 ft and 40 ft HC

Container fill drives your landed cost more than the FOB price. Here is the actual pallet math NostraMareFoods uses when we quote 20 ft, 40 ft and 40 ft HC loads of glass and PET EVOO.

20 ft standard — 11 EUR pallets

11 × EUR (1200 × 800 mm) pallets floor-loaded. Payload cap ≈ 21.7 t. A full container of 500 ml glass EVOO ≈ 12,600 bottles / 6.3 t product. Weight is not the binding constraint on glass EVOO — floor space is.

40 ft standard — 24 EUR pallets

24 × EUR pallets floor-loaded, or 25 with staggered loading. Payload cap ≈ 26.5 t. Sweet spot for retail glass programs across EU-27.

40 ft HC (High Cube) — 25 EUR pallets, taller stacking

Extra 30 cm interior height allows double-stacked 1 L PET or larger drums. Standard for 5 L HoReCa jerrycans and mixed SKU programs.

Mixed SKU loads

Stacking and dunnage

Glass EVOO ships single-stack with corner boards and shrink wrap. Airbags between pallet rows prevent shift; reefer is not required for EVOO.
