Lined or stainless. Full pallet holds 4 drums (~800 L). Best for buyers with drum-tipping stations and smaller batch runs. Returnable in the EU under deposit schemes.

Bulk EVOO packaging: 200 L drums vs 1,000 L IBCs vs flexitanks
Bulk EVOO buyers — bottlers, private-label plants (own bottling only in our case), foodservice distributors — pick between three packaging tiers. Each has a different fill economics, hygiene profile and returns story.
1,000 L IBC
Food-grade HDPE inside a steel cage. Standard for medium-scale bottlers. Discharges cleanly with a valve; nitrogen-blanket refill on partial use.
Flexitank — 22 t in a 20 ft container
Single-use polyethylene bladder inside a 20 ft dry container. Cheapest per litre of EVOO landed, but requires a dedicated receiving pump and tank at destination.
Choosing by volume
< 5,000 L / month: drums. 5,000 – 50,000 L / month: IBCs. > 50,000 L / month: flexitank. Any bulk buyer running an own-brand program should be at IBC or above.
Quality control on bulk
One CoA per drum lot, or per IBC. Free acidity, peroxide, K270, sensory panel and pesticide residue screen. Always retain a 250 ml sample per unit for 24 months.
